Nischay advises on a wide range of patent litigation issues in both the technology and life sciences sectors, but has a special interest and experience in FRAND/SEP litigation. He has experience in UK litigation, multi-jurisdiction coordination, and India litigation.
Nischay has a technical background in chemical engineering and uses this subject area knowledge when advising clients on complex patent litigation.
Some of Nischay’s work highlights include:
- Panasonic v Xiaomi and OPPO – UK FRAND/SEP litigation concerning Panasonic’s portfolio of 3G and 4G SEPs.
- Dr Reddy’s v Pfizer – follow-on damages inquiry against the Department of Health, NHS bodies, and several generic companies arising from cross-undertakings in damages in patent infringement proceedings related to pregabalin.
- InterDigital v Lenovo – represented Lenovo in a technical trial concerning LTE standard.
- R2 Semiconductor v Intel – represented Intel in defence of patent infringement proceedings in relation to fully integrated voltage regulators.
- Advansix Resins & Chemicals v Stockmeier Chemie and Troy Chemical Company – represented Advansix in patent infringement proceedings concerning an alkyd paint additive.
- Shareholder Representative Services & Ors v Biogen – represented the claimants in a claim concerning breaches of contract relating to the sale of a pharmaceutical company.
